Rev-Ed Project Boards. Note that soldering is required in assembling the Rev-Ed project boards.
A small self assembly board to allow rapid prototyping of PICAXE-08 circuits. Includes all components including download socket, socket for the PICAXE-08M, resistors for download and battery clip. Purchase PICAXE-08M separately. You may also require a battery holder and either an AXE-026 serial or AXE-027 USB download cable. $4.49.
This is an assembled AXE-021 with a PICAXE-08M mounted on a 830 hole solderless breadboard with a US made rubber band. On the solderless breadbaord, I have assembled a 7805 voltage regulator with capacitors and LED indicators. The AXE-021 board takes 5 VDC power from the breadboard.
I have soldered an 8 terminal female socket to the AXE-021 to permit ease of wiring to the solderless breadboard and have made connections to an LED and to a 40 Ohm speaker via a series capacitor. The speaker is held in place using a small piece of Velcro. About 12 feet of 22 awg solid wire (four colors) is included for your future breadboarding.
This offering includes a 120 VAC to 9.0 VDC (300 mA) wall power unit with leads prepared to power the solderless breadboard.
This does not include either a AXE-026 Serial or AXE-027 USB Cable.
Note that it is fully assembled as shown. Note that only the AXE-021 and the PICAXE-08M are products of Rev-Ed. $19.95 (US Only).
Note that the following items are not products of and are not manufactured by Revolution Education in the UK.
Protoboard for PICAXE-08. Includes 78L05 supply, power on LED, DB9 Female connector with enhanced download configuration. +5V and GRD buses, access to all 8-term PICAXE terminals, jumper on P0, 3-3/16 in X 1-3/4 in, pads for supplying unregulated power, +7 VDC or greater.
The 8 terminal protoboard does not include a PICAXE.
These two photos illustrate how I work with the board. In this example, I am using a MAX6675 to measure temperature using a K-type thermocouple. As you can see there is more than enough protoboard space for other circuitry.
Protoboard for PICAXE-08. Assembled and tested. $13.95.
Protoboard for PICAXE-08. Kit. Assembly instructions- $7.95.
18 Terminal Protoboard. Includes 7805 supply, power on LED, DB9 Female connector with enhanced download configuration, reset pshbutton, +5V and GRD buses, access to all 18-terminal PICAXE terminals, coaxial power socket (2.1 mm center positive) for supplying unregulated power, +7 VDC or greater. 4 X 3-1/8 inches. Does not include PICAXE.
This is offered fully assembled, as a kit or you can buy only the PCB. Assembly Instructions.
Sample Applications.
